LMFAO! That's a new name for the Great State, if I ever heard one! Yeah, I know about the car licence part. In fact, FL no longer issues motorcycle licences period. You MUST have a driver's licence prior to applying for the motorcycle endorsement. You also can't do your riding test at the DMV any more. It must be done as part of a training session at approved schools. I actually like that idea. I don't know about lawless though. The state is in need of money and the cops have been on the hunt quite a bit recently.
Anyway, staying on track, I dig the Benelli. But question...does it have disc brakes at the back?!? Yes...we all know I'm the resident disk brake whore! LOL!

Good call on the switch IMO... A good point to bring up is the CPI style or longcase Minarelli powered scoots. Or any mina powered scoot for that matter. You are a mechanic ososlow so you might understand what im saying when i say the Minarelli,s are like the "smallblock Chevy,s" of the scooter world. You can get parts just about anywere and if you have some mechanical incline you can get good power out of one. I would ride about any 2T over most fours but the Minarelli is one of the most common in the US it seems.

is scrappies JOG100 engine assembly one of the ones that would just need spacers on the mount to swap it into a gy6 frame? also, what your opinion on stretching a mina out that big

My scoot is a 90cc from the factory and I know several ATVs out there come with that and larger versions of the Mina 2T. But based on what I've read around these parts, putting a BBK on a 50 and taking it as high as 100 is asking for trouble unless your bottom half (crankshaft, etc) has been upgraded accordingly. To get that sort of size, you're probably gonna have to go up on the stroke as well, which may affect squish and rod clearance. The experts can chime in here, but I am pretty sure they will concur. They would be better able to tell you how difficult/expensive such a move may be. For me, I'd just buy an engine from an ATV instead.

On the other hand.... I'm partial to the Honda vertical Dio (SA50 Elite in the US) that many have taken out to 125cc (I'm building one @ 100cc). You should be able to find an old SA50 as "cheap as chips". www.motorscooterguide.net/Honda/EliteSA50/EliteSA50.htmlBTW: any transmission "goodies" you have accumulated for a 50cc GY6 will interchange.
