Hello scooter lovers, This aerox build was kind of a rescue/budget build that I really did not need but I really wanted. The scoot was bought of a teen that was not really taking care of it...The scoot has seen much better days but it was purchased anyways in hope that is was not that bad as it seemed...That was a big mistake This is how the scoot looked when it was purchased: how do you print screen30 minutes after ariving home the aerox was taken appart so I could take care of all of the problems

The rest of the build will be posted soon when I gather all the pictures and get the time to post everything.

I have been here before with projects. When I got my slider it had been off the road for 5 years. I couldn't believe some of the "fixes." Good luck.

Same thing here... I was really surprised with some things and got kind of frustrated when I saw some unexpected problems but all in all I enjoyed working and learning on the aerox.

The setup of this aerox when it was bought was: -70cc Polini kit -Dellorto 21mm carb -Gianelli rekord exhaust -Top performance vario The owner said that the cylinder kit was new and claimed it did not have more than 2000km on it. Later it was obvious that was not true (the picture of the piston tells you everything). Surprisingly the engine idled ok even though the piston was in such bad condition. I noticed there was a water leak and when I was taking off the head I noticed that the head and cylinder were tightened down with only 3 out of the 4 nuts!! And to make things even better the spark plug threads were stripped as the water temp sensor threads were to. The crankshaft and bearings seemed to be in good condition with no play or movement so I just left that the way it was. The vario was actually a top perfomance vario as the seller said so that is at least one good thing. The fan plate/wheel part of the vario is off some chinarelli. Further inspection showed a partly worn down Mitshuboshi belt, a scored clutch and overheated clutch bell. The tires were trash so some Michelins were bought and mounted. This scoot was obvioisly in some kind of wreck so the side plastic was torn to pieces. I made a template from the other side plastic that was in ok condition and mirrored it. A few hours later I got this made out of fiberglass. After that I took off all of the unnecessary filler and gave it a coat of filler primer.

Amazing how do many of these bikes have missing nuts, bolts and fasteners missing. And the ones left are done up by a gorilla. Nice repair on the side. My new aerox has power 2CT tyres as well. Seem nice from the short ride I had.

Half the bolts and nuts were missing haha... I can not believe how someone could build a scoot with half the bolts missing and ride it with no problems. The Michelins seem good to me, they look nice too even though some people with much more experience told me I made a mistake and should have got the Bridgestone molas ml50 tires.

Same here...Most aeroxes have had a tough life or are overpriced. It is hard to find a decent example for a fair price.

I wanted to buy my old one back. Have been looking for it for a few years. It hasn't been registered for about five years now. Probably a basket case. Had the police round to my house about it a couple of times. Had quite a few speeding tickets. And a dangerous driving charge! Last I heard his dad had taken the keys off him!
