It's true. And they want crazy money for them. yep been in 2 minds just for buying a frame and building one up so i know its not been messed about with Even none runner seem to want crazy money though. Was one on Gumtree a little while ago. Top end had been left off. Out in rain for five years. Still wanted £500! I just paid more for a 2016 model, than I did for a brand new one 12 years ago. And it's far from perfect. But best I could find. They are going for more money than a newer low miles four stroke.

There were a lot of little things that had to be done and unfortunately I did not take pictures of everything which I kind of regret now... I spents a lot of hours taking care of all of the little things but all in all everything got sorted out. After all of the work I started to break in the new cylinder and piston and I started to get all of the small tuning sorted out.

For the first few hundred kilometers I was using a Dellorto 21mm carb but I felt that it was unnecessary because I am only running a base cylinder kit. I also wanted to reduce the fuel consumption as this is a daily ridden scoot. I tried using a Dellorto 17.5mm carb and that worked out great. It still needs some fine tuning but I am happy with the results. The last time I measured the top speed it was 99 km/h. I got an averege consumption of 4.5 L/100km or 52 miles to galon. I think there is room for improvement. There is also room for improvement in the cvt area but for now I will enyoj riding it and slowly get all of the little thing buttoned up. Here are some pics of the complete build

Thank you! It is far from perfect but it is much better than it used to be. And now it is actually rideable and safe!

Beautifully done. I like the work with fiberglass. Thank you! Patching the holes and fixing broken pieces of plastic seemed easiest to do with fiberglass.
