I've tugged at the nipple and it seems to be press fitted in there. Unless I'm not tugging hard enough. (Hang on...WHY did that just sound sexual in nature?!?). Perhaps my check valve is in the pump then. Interesting.

no even if the check valve is in the nipple the nipple is pressed in and you have to pull hard to get it off then you have to get it back together nice and tight

Looks great. You're one heck of a scooter detailer.

Thanks Brent but there's no secret trick to it. I just take the all plastics off and clean the crap out of them and everything under them put it all back together. That Gel-Gloss polish/wax works really good but it takes lots of elbow grease. I wrap a rag around a screwdriver to get into tight places. It's really boring and time consuming but I have cable TV out in the shop to get my mind off it.
One thing I never EVER do is spray water on a scooter with a hose. I always use a spray bottle with 50/50 ammonia and water. That way I don't get water in any connectors or inside the engine or fuel tank.

That goes for the engine bay of a car too. Water and electricals/electronics don't mix.

Yeah I don't want to sell it but I got a $360 speeding ticket (54 in a 35), traffic school cause of the ticket and my van needs some work/parts. I'd never sell it if I had a choice. It runs perfect.
