Well I have a small problem with my ET4 150, the throttle is stiff. I pulled the cable off the carb and its great, like butter no problem there. The throttle lever on the carb is stiff and a little sticky. Does anyone have experience in loosening it up?

Check the linkage and spring and ??? on the side of the carb. Check that the butterfly/throttle plate is not jammed too far closed as that will make it hard to open from 'idle' position. Check that the throttle shaft pivots are free of gum/gunk. You can slosh carb cleaner around the pivots and then lube with light oil, after working the throttle a dozen or two times to free it up. tom

Thanks Tom, I did all of the above and it was better but I also lubed the cable and it was a complete fix. These Piaggio throttles are no joke and a bitch to work on. I took it for a ride and was very happy.

Corrosion of the throttle shaft or bore and slide can also cause poor operation.
