Nice lil 20mi ride on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Tires held up great. Engine is getting dialed in. Pilot still a little rich, but she sits down right at 1500-1600rpm at a stop. I've got the cheapy temp gauge, so I just add 50 to what it says to be on safe side. So far we are sitting pretty.

At least you got it done. Those 10" wheels are the hardest. I really struggled with a 13 year old tyre on mine. Over here a lot of shops only charge a small fee to fit tyres to loose wheels. And my local tyre place will fit them free to your bike, if you purchase them from him.

aeroxbud That 120/70 nearly killed me. Lol. I'm gonna look around here for somebody that does that. Have to do the tires on the RT eventually. Not sure I wanna go through all that again. 😌

One week out and the tires are holding air no problem. Gonna call that a win. Plastics are on and I am calling this bike done! Time to enjoy it. Now if I can just get the weather to warm up a bit. Lol!

Aaaaand..... The drive boss on my clutch bell snapped during what was a very nice ride up to that point. The Yamati is once again a brick while I wait for parts.

Yeah... That'll irritate the crap out of ya for sure. I shoulda replaced it back when the clutch blew up. Pay now or pay later, right?

New clutch and bell installed! I just bought the whole assembly and changed it all out. Have a spare clutch and rear slider now, but that is certainly not a bad thing. Also dumped that ratty stock carb for a replacement from VMC. Same one as captincvmn (wouldn't have found that without the F-Act build thread--big props for that and the advice). So much better and smoother. That old one was too beat up to be tuned properly. Currently set at 22.5 pilot, 92 main, needle at center clip. Temp never climbs above 260, even at wide open. Back on the road and better than ever! Finally got transmission dialed in. The Stage6 street likes things 7kish, so stock clutch springs, stock torque spring, 6 gram rollers. This thing is a low end torque MONSTER. Pretty sure this thing can haul a small trailer. 🤣🤣🤣

If you go on scootertuning.ca and type CPI Vento Keeway into the search bar you’ll get a pretty good selection of items meant for this scoot (or mine). Seems like a better list comes back than putting in Keeway F-act etc.

Agreed, sir! I use that strategy on Scootertuning and racing planet. I found that you have to pick through items even if you go by specific models, but sometimes other useful items aren't listed. Best to just search it out.
I think I'm done with this bad boy though. The transmission and carb were the last items. Everything except for the cases, frame and rims is new. Basically ripped it down to bolts and rebuilt it.
Certainly not the most cost effective method, but I learned a lot by doing it.

One tiny tiny adjustment. Loaded 5.5 rollers into the variator yesterday. She doesn't try to jump out of her skin like the RT, but she leaves the cars at the light. Rollers 101 octane and they rattle during idle, but small price to pay.
I think I might still be a tad rich at 22.5 but I can't see how since that was stock at 50cc. Sputters slightly at just under 1/8th. Mixing at 40:1, so maybe that? Anyway she smooth and strong everywhere above that. Sounds like one mean ass leaf blower.🤣🤣🤣

Quick update. Now that I have around 350km on this setup, she is running smoother than ever. Not gonna tear up the street with it, but power profile is nice and even and she pulls steady up into the 50s.
I gotta say, I was not a huge fan of the Naraku cylinder at first, but once it got broken in, I am very pleasantly surprised. Lots of juice on the low end and super smooth.
Gonna change the gear oil once I hit about 500-600km, as I would on a new bike. The gears that came with this motor looked completely untouched, so I'm gonna treat 'em like they are new. Can't hurt anything.
I started calling this bike "The Brick" because she was always laid up in the shop for one reason or another. Now that the kinks are worked out, I call her "The Brick" because she's friggin solid. 🤣🤣🤣
