Carb Tuning Update: After my experiences with the Adly 103, I decided to take The Brick over to the same 6 mile stretch for tuning tests.
Well, I will be damned. Temps shot up at around half throttle holding 40mph. Temp got to around 370 and steady climbing at end of stretch. She normally lives around 260-290. I pulled over for a bit and she settled back down after a few minutes. Temp got back down around to 260-270.
In this case, idle was steady. No surging as was case with the Adly. After got home, opened up carb and raised needle one clip from position 3 to 4. Tool her back out to the stretch and opened her up.
No issues this time! Temps held at 285-295 with no off throttle spikes or issues. She cruised along at 40 or so with no problems at all. Again I ran that stretch 3 more times to be sure and everything came out the same.
So if I learned anything from these two experiences, it's that around town is not always a good barometer for jetting. A good long stretch of road with no stop and go really lets you run through the throttle and pin point any fine tuning needs or lingering issues after initial tuning.

Old girl has come a long way. Here she is when I bought her back in November 2020. Here she is today.
Need to do something about the seat, and find a Keeway Matrix tail light assembly, but she looks a hell of a lot better. Not exactly an RX8i anymore since she has parts from Keeway F-ACT and Baotian B09.
