So what fitment was correct in the end, Morini? I'm going to bet it was Minarelli. Those Polini Team series exhausts fit all variations of Minarelli as they have an extremely flexible fit. Matt

Interesting thread...not sure what to make of it. With my welding experience, heat treating and such, plus a wide ass variety of both right and left handed screw drivers, and an amazing array of exhaust flange offset bushings...I have never had this much problem fitting up a poop shooter.
Maybe I should think more about man(u-facturing), man(ipulating) and manning up to some different standard?
Regardless...Good on 'ya!

murf740 Sorry I'm late to the party, man. Glad you got the pipe sorted out. Just a heads up. I'm assuming you have an 878 belt on the bike. When it comes time to change it up, I strongly recommend you go with Bando or Gates. A lot of the other after market belts I've tried tend to be short and will slow your top end as much a 5mph. I know it's off topic ,but trust me, it will save you a lot of head scratching.

This thread reminds me of fitting up YMS v8 pipes to a Chinarelli. You pretty much have to space it out. If you bolt it up to the engine and draw in the mounting bolts, over time the headder will crack at the exhaust flange.
The simple solution was to use old/used roller weights as spacers between the engine case and the exhaust bracket. I guess it's like how the LeoVince ZX-R comes with a few aluminum spacers for their mounting brackets.
