That's nice. I bet it's fun to ride. Thanks , yes it is fun . tops out about 40mph. I am sure it has a lot more to offer , but I am out of my depth with the tech .
The first obvious question is the pipe on it . I have no idea what it came off or if it is suitable for the job it's doing . I thought it looks the part. ( cheap find on e-bay )
Can anyone give me some points how to find out .
Cheers Graham

One of my friends has one similar of those. It's an AV7 I think...a piston ported non cvt type. 2 stroke stuffing also based his creation of off one of those. Or It might be a peugeot 103 SP, but thats basically the same.

Have just ordered a new Airsal cylinder with different port layout .

Not having the dimensions of the pipe or port layout, the pipe appears to be a racing (9000 rpm) setup, likely a bit much for a sport cylinder..

Not having the dimensions of the pipe or port layout, the pipe appears to be a racing (9000 rpm) setup, likely a bit much for a sport cylinder.. Hi 190 mech. The new cylinder on order from RRD is on back order and hope to get it by new year. I was then going to trace the ports and post the layout on the "port maps thread" and then ask for advice on how to rework the ports for best affect. The Moby has not got the best cooling properties so I would like to work to a max of about 7000 rpm meaning better mid range power . The pipe fitted comes in at about 4000 rpm ( by that I mean the engine stops coughing and smooths out). At the moment it is fitted with a 15/15 dellorto clone carb but have 19mm PHBG ready to fit. My goal is to get the top speed up to about 50mph from it's current speed of 40mph . ( It's bit of an unspoken challenge with some friends on the moby forum , to outdo each other when we meet each year.) If it crossed your mind as it did mine , "it's no good going faster if you can't stop the thing" . the brakes have been upgraded . from 4" to 6" drum on the front and a disc brake on the rear. again any help is much appreciated Regards Graham

Hi . an exhaust question please. I have just offered up the Leo vince pipe I am thinking of adapting to use on my Moby project and see that the tube used on the Leo vince is a smaller diameter than the current one, going into the head. The question is , if the tube dia from the head is smaller than the exhaust port ,then is it a non starter. ? Do I cut the small tube off and fit a larger size similar to that at the start of the expansion chamber . And should the new tube be as close to the exhaust port area as possible.? I have not got the cylinder yet but was thinking that the exhaust port may need enlarging anyway
Cheer Graham
