What's everyone's opinion on using octane boosters for high end builds with a lot of compression or advance? I myself don't see any need for higher Octane rating then 92 on standard issue 2 strokes, However I also believe that on a super high performance engine no matter if it's 4 stroke or 2 stroke high octane fuel MA not so much could increase the performance but well allow it to run smoother and without is great of a chance for Knock or predetnation.
From time to time I have used them more so lately because my builds keep getting More gnarly each time... Right now my set up Runs at 15 to 1 compression And is slightly advanced. The reason I want to know what you guys think is I remember seeing one of the lower and boosters say that it was not for use in diesel or 2 stroke engines. The Hyatt in stuff that I've been using does not say that however I do know or at least have heard that you can't raise the octane super high if you using Castor oil as it will separate . Right now I'm using a fully synthetic bland but my favorite oil to use is Clotz Which is a synthetic caster Bland I like its consistency and there is nothing that smells is good on this planet then that oil getting burned out a nice clean pipe.
Also if you notice in the image I seem to have sound that The They make a 8 point increase booster as well as a 7 point booster which seems to say it also leads the fuel. The one that doesnt lead amd has sligjtly higher rating increase says for use with o2 and catalytic conv. Anyways I'm not saying I clip some of this in 19th in my 5 goes 5 miles faster honestly if I've ever notice any difference it would be so minor that fit could easily be in my head but I also so Believe that it will help it to burn hotter therefore cleaner And give some safety net for misfire.
What is everyone's idea on these things are they a gimmick or are theyHelpful or are they helpful just not on a 2 stroke ?
