Ok so on my Tao Tao BWS150 (150cc GY6 Engine), I was messing with the kick start because it has been broken for a while. Then, the next day I tried to start my scooter, and it would start, but not idle, I had to give it 1/2 to Full throttle. I know I probably just need to adjust my idle speed or clean the pilot jet, but then was researching what it'd take to fix the kick start too, and saw something called a "Kick start idler gear." Since it has the word "idle" in it, I was wondering if this is affecting the idling speed of my scooter or no? Im also just curious what it does on a scooter haha and if its necessary. Also to be Clear, my electric start works, I just think the kick start would be nice to have Thanks!

That's the gear that goes into the CVT cover. It has nothing to do with the engine idle. When you push the kick lever down. That gear forces the castle nut by the variator to turn.
