Picked up a killer deal yesterday. 2005 Typhoon for 500 bucks. Has turn signal damage, some scrapes, electric start doesnt work, but its a perfect working scoot otherwise. I did a top speed run, and for a bone stock bike with restrictions removed, it carried my 190 pounds to 41.6 mph. Curious if i could get more, i took her apart a bit. Travel on the variator is great. Clutch engagement is meh, and the bell is heated blue, so clutch slipping possibly. Brass restrictor removed from carb. Pulled the plug and took these pictures. Id been riding it, and this was after a full throttle run. Long story short, while trying to tune the air fuel and idle to fix the lumpy, barely running idle, it fouled two plugs. Before it fouled the first one, i took the foam filter out of the airbox and put the cover back on to see if it was too rich and needed help. It was sputtering like crazy and wouldnt pull, i assumed it to be lean, but it could have been the plug being fouled, not my removal of the foam filter. What do you guys think?

Looks like a pretty cold plug for a stock motor,,could be an iggy issue, weak spark/fouling..

A BR9ES is the standard plug. Have you put a new plug in it?

A BR9ES is the standard plug. Have you put a new plug in it? Ohhh boy did i 😂. A/f screw one and a quarter turn out.....shoots sparks 😂 Im really hoping that its excess oil built up in the pipe burning out. It smoked really bad for a bit yesterday, but stopped. It recently stopped shooting the sparks too, but man its iffy. Heres the new plug after a cold start, revving it a bit, a ride around the block, and a full throttle run back up the street. I can see a mocha/dark color forming at the base of the plug
