Just put on the new filter. Sounds great, tuned it up real quick...
Went out to head down the road.. got to about 10 miles an hour and complete engine bog. Sounds like it's not getting anymore gas. Takes a second for me to be able to hit the throttle again... then more bog. I also noticed that my fuel line has mostly air with a little bit of gas at the Carb end of the line. (I have clear lines and filter).
I'm also running kind of rich, I read somewhere that when you install a free flow filter, you need to add fuel to the mixture to compensate for all the extra air. I got spooked so rich it is.

Oh and I tried to suck on the vacuum line to purge the fuel line of air... nothing. I get like a little clanking sound. I can definitely hear the petcock open, but it sounds like it just shuts off immediately.

Try buying 4or5 mains. See what size you have stock, some are 70mains, mine was a 80. I have even heard of as small as a 50 main but thats hard to believe in a minareli. Depends on what size you have now. To be honest with you....If your planning a bb in the future its best to wait and use that UNI then. I really dont think you will get any improvement with the stock top-end and a UNI filter. Just my $.02

You definitely need to change jets or go back to the stock filter. Check your fuel line to make sure it's a continuous downhill path as well. These things are just gravity fed so you don't want the fuel having to travel up any hills trying to get to the carb.

Well I put the stock filter and everything back on and now I think I might be fvcked - Until I get my BBK.
I thought I was having a fuel problem because of the air in the gas lines. So...
I drained the gas from the tank using a funnel that had a SMALL amount of SAE30 oil still on it into a tank and reused the same gas. I tried to wipe it the best I could. I didn't think it would hurt anything - Now I'm not so sure. I cleaned the petcock with brake cleaner and ran a few ounces of seafoam through the tank to clear any gunk. Blew out the petcock and drained the tank the best I could. Put everything back together.. Started her up.. She ran for a few seconds.. then died. Did it over and over making minute adjustments to the mix screw and idle screw alike. Got a winy unhealthy noise from the engine on the last start up and stall out.
haha.. welll.... shhhhit. time to pull the head?

Oh and I just remembered.
I took apart my carb the other week and cleaned it. The jets didn't appear to have any writing on them. Is this possible, or did I just not look hard enough?

I really don't think a tiny bit of motor oil residue in a funnel would be causing your problem. Sounds like you aren't getting any fuel at all to the carb. It's probably had enough fuel in the bowl to idle for a bit while you messed with it. Verify whether you are or are not getting fuel to the carb first.
It's possible the jets aren't labeled. Most likely it's a 70-80 though.

Here's the sound. After reviewing this over a few times (I didn't want to run the bike with that sound), I came the conclusion that I either didn't tighten the contra spring/ clutch bolt down enough, or that is my cylinder - But I don't know if my cylinder could even make the sound. Maybe from running it with that filter for a few minutes?
Oh and I turned it off, it didn't stall.

Thought I posted this last week. You were right 2strokd. The fan blades were rubbing, but it wasn't due to a loose variator nut. It was because my kickstarters cir clip was not seated properly, causing the gear to get pushed in when I kicked. Some pics of the damage (very little, thankfully). Fan blades are slightly worn. Hard to see, but I tried using the reflection of my shop light to make it stand out. In the center of the image above there is a line on the kickstarter's semi circle gear, that's where the variator was rubbing. About the my jets; I cleaned my carb yesterday and inspected my jets, they definitely do NOT have any markings on them.

Hey, these are my stock jets. I'm having a little trouble matching up the style with the ones on the site you provided 2strokd. Can anyone clue me in on which ones I've got?

Thanks man.
Those are cheap enough. I'll save my time and just get 'em from there.
