Try a tea spoon of fuel into the spark plug hole. Put the plug back in and see if it fires for a few seconds. If it does, try cleaning the carb. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/363

Hey pinkscoot thanks for your reply, yes I took a look at Brents tutorial, great job by the way but I coldnt narrow a solution. Everything in the scoot is stock and with less than 3000km on it. I just went over for a "last try" and found that the battery is lacking power (new gel battery bought yesterday) so I removed the spark plug but couldnt make it spark. I'll try to recharge the battery tonight to keep trying tomorrow, I'm planning to recheck for spark first thing and I fear that if that doesnt work out I will have to go for the carb....

Hey! So today I took the carb apart and cleaned it (with vinegar, I didnt have carb cleaner). It looks quite ok. Put it all back together an I find that when I kickstart it, it runs for about 5 secs. This is almost always in the first kick (I dont have to try several times). If I turn the throttle it inmediately clogs. Tried the mix and air screws with no luck. Fuel supply to the carb is uninterrupted and working ok (I can see it throughout the transparent hose I installed).... Running out of ideas, I seem to be ver close but cant seem to nail it

I'm guessing it's a manual choke. The Choke circuit has very small galleries. I would pass a wire through it to make sure it's clear. Would be worth going through the no start guide. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/647?page=1

Electrical connections seem to be ok. I'll let it rest until tomorrow just in case...

Connect the choke up to a positive and negative directly to the battery. Measure the before, and after to check it.

Hi! So after disassembling the enritcher I found that the needle was kid of jammed. A little bit of carb cleaner and presto. The scoot starts (and keeps running)with one kick nice and easy.
One thing though, I have to give it almost full throttle for the wheel to start - slowly - spinning. I guess there's something stuck in there (I don't even know if the transmission oil was ever changed)

That's great. If it's got really stiff clutch springs fitted. It will do that. It's because most performance pipes only work at high revs. I would give the CVT a once over anyway.

Hey Paul, yes I'm learning about the cvt in order to being able to fiddle with it. In the mean time, after a few minutes, it started to loosen up, at least if I sit on it and rev it to the max, it starts moving slowly...
So anyways, thank all of you very much for the help. I'll keep posting!
