Hi guy, I recently finished a 52mm bbk install, during the process i replaced the broken kick start because i cant get the electric start to work(low cranking amps vs high compression im assuming) so immediatley after the first start with the kick both gears chewed up and locked up. Obviously the result of cheap chinese steel/manufacturing. Can anyone point me in the direction of a quality kick start assembley?

Hahahahahaha Madness you'rer adorable! Quality, can someone find a translation for that in Cantonese. Pretty soon some guy will pop up and compliment the former dead guy with and extreme expensive Italiano sounding brand part with a link to a website he is definitely not affiliated with. The part is acutally hopefully made in TAIWAN with hopefully not very very very very recycled American steel. It is hopefully 20% better than CCP product at 1000% higher price! AM I RIGhT Fellows!?! Tell me I am confused, jaded! Mistaken!?

Hey, bully, trying to get your post count up? If not, and you have more thoughts you can EDIT your post instead of creating multiple short posts that add nothing to the thread...
It could be the parts were bad, could be installed without all the bits'n'pieces, or the case is damaged. You should have been able to work the kickstart lever by hand without it being on the bike. You should have seen the partial circle gear push away from the case towards the variator gear teeth.(when installed) It should move up its spiral as you move the kick lever, and move back down as you release. The spring around the gear base should provide friction/tension so the gear goes up/down the spiral. There should also be a washer and circlip on the kick start lever shaft, and a 'plastic' thin square cut washer on the case underneath the spring that retracts the gears as you let go of the kick lever. The gears on the partial circle gear and the drive gear that extends towards the variator should mesh freely with no binding. As you work the lever, they should move out and retract smoothly. If there were damaged teeth on either gear, binding and poor operation would be likely. I have bought gears from aliexpress and had no problem. I have cleaned up damaged gears using a small triangular file to make them mesh freely after someone had broken the case but kept on kicking the lever. The parts are not all bad. The quality is generally ok. You may have put it together incorrectly or missing parts if you got a 'basket case'. The shafts and gears should (IMO) be lubricated with some grease so they are not working 'dry'. If you have questions about assembling or possible missing parts, post away. Pictures can sometimes help. tom
