Hi everyone , i've got a longjia 50qt-3l , i don't know if my cdi is AC or DC. Can it break something on my scooter if i put the wrong cdi ?
Is it more dangerous to put dc cdi on ac scooter or the contrary ?
Thanks for your help .

Don't do either. Both produce the spark needed to run the engine, if they have the appropriate support circuitry. That would be the proper power available and the proper stall/kill circuitry
Best bet is to a OEM replacement. If not available then you have to sleuth it out, using the clues at hand.
1. Wire chase the machines ignition power circuit, if from the stator, then AC 2. Wire chase the kill circuit. That will give clues 3. Pin out of stock CDI 4. Physical size of CDI, I don't put much stock in that anymore

DC CDI stator won't have the power coil for an AC CDI. DC CDI would work on a AC CDI stator IF wired correctly. Then there is the off chance your bike has a TCI instead of a CDI and that's a different animal that uses a totally different stator, flywheel arrangement.
