Hello to all,
I'm trying to get my D1E41QMB Qingqi 50cc running again. I tore everything apart after the engine shut off from lack of oil. After everything was taken off I'd decided to just go with premix. I broke the jug on accident and I had alot of trouble getting the new piston into the new jog. Turns out it's hanging up in the crankcase. Any quick answers? I've provided a video to further illustrate
Many, many thanks

You will have to change your YouTube settings from private for us to view it. I don't really get why the piston would catch on the cases, as it's much smaller.

Sorry I left a few details out. I removed the piston from the connecting rod where I discovered it's the crankshaft that's hanging up. When I crank it by hand it will turn smoothly a couple of rotations then I encounter resistance. I can still turn it, it's just more difficult. The starter and battery can't keep up with whatever is catching

When you had taken the piston off. Did the crank spin freely by hand, with no grinding?

Perhaps some debris fell down into the crankcase. It sounds like it is just coming up on the compression and stopping. If you think it is piston to crankcase interference remove your spark plug and crank it again. If it’s compression it’ll crank freely. If it’s mechanical resistance somewhere it’ll still crank hard.

Sorry I haven't responded. I need to turn on notifications on my browser. Thank you for your input

If it cranked freely then it is simply the compression inside the cylinder that is causing your hard cranking. Weak battery or poor connections to the battery and solonoid. Might just be a tough bike to crank.

I don't think it's the battery. It's fully charged and hooked up to a float. I considered that it wasn't strong enough but it started before it died on me with the same battery

What is your compression?

Oh oh I know what it is!!
If the video is taken from above the engine looking down at it, front of the scooter at top of frame, the engine is spinning backwards. It appears as if the top of the flywheel/fan is going towards the rear. This would be backwards. Positive and negative are switched on the battery.
Bam!

I kid you not I said to myself why is it spinning backwards. I thought it might be because it was 2t lol
