The woes with my 155 continue. Now in my buddies bike, we noticed it not even getting to 7000 rpms and it wasnt very fast. We went with a 13g/11g mix, and it was better, but still not very fast. Yesterday it began to make a horrible noise from the cvt. I thought it was the clutch bearing again....nope. Clutch was bent. Put in a straight clutch with a slightly not smooth bearing and rode it up the street. Within the range of our little street, maybe 600 feet, it had shifted as soon as it launched, and rode almost to the top of the variator. Ow.
So the too heavy rollers mean first, that the rpms arent getting into the real powerband of this 155, which is surely above 6700 rpm. Second, the heavier rollers force the transmission to shift way too early, almost like launching a car and going from first to fifth. High load low rpm scenario. You give it gas to pull, but the engine isnt in the right gear to get up into the rpms to pull easily. Lots of stress. With the all 13g weights i had previously before my bike got destroyed, no wonder i was overheating so much and breaking clutches.
Put all 11g in it, jumps right up to 6800-7100 rpms, and feels so much happier. Obviously the clutch bearing was making a lil noise, but it pulled way harder. The engine was a lot less stressed. I dont even think it shifted when i ran it up the street. Rpms were a lot more stable, a lot happier motor.
So yeah, check rpms, and play with your stuff 😉

Is 10 grams even better ? The fine tuning continues .

Is 10 grams even better ? The fine tuning continues . Buddy values torque and pull more than speed, so I think were gonna settle for a 10/11g mix. Im gonna go run it again other tomorrow or the next day and compare acceleration and top end

When you get it really sorted, especially on a high reving two stroke. Even 0.25g can make quite a difference. A tachometer can really help with setting up the CVT.

Your having a unusual amount of trouble with your clutch bearings. If its a typical GY6 style the clutch bearings aren't that fussy. They only spin at clutch disengagement rpm's (idle).
So a cleaning and minimal greasing should keep them healthy. Or they have been damaged somehow.

I don't find rollers affect my top speed unless there way way to heavy or light. Really as long as there heavy enough to close the variator all way so the belt rides top of variator it shouldn't have a effect on top speed only if there too light and the belt can't travel to top of variator or maby if there so heavy it's slowing the engine from spinning as fast I find it really only effects how fast it shifts if ur in the proper range if weights. I get the same top speed and max rpm out of 5 ,6,7,8 g rollers it just changes how fast I get there. For me 7 g sliders are best my 0 to 40 times are almost 3 seconds faster with the 7 g than 5,6,8 g sliders. I get same 54 mph and 8450 max rpm from all of them in my stroker 139qmb
