I'm fixing this long standing scoot. It had old fuel, so the vacuum petcock got completely stuck with gunk, so it was replaced. Also fuel tank was cleaned.
After that it was kind of running, but not very good. Borrowed another carb, gurtner 12mm, with adjustable mixture screw. I moved main jet and needle from original carb, to keep settings. It ran ok, just didnt like to start cold, probably bad electric choke.
Went for aliexpres replica carb with electric choke, also put in original main jet and needle. Now it starts OK, runs ok, revs to a point, but at the top it looses some rpm. Also, now, oil warning light turns on when riding faster.
Chinese carb has different oil intake position, so that worries me a bit. Check pics for two gurtners oil intake and for Chinese presumable oil intake.

You might need a different main jet, as different carbs will not work quite the same. The oil light only monitors the amount of oil in the two stroke oil tank. If you top it up it should go out. It's not like a four stroke where it will actually monitor oil pressure inside the engine.

Cheers for oil info. Oil tank is half full, maybe enough to kick te lamp. Ill try with chinese main then, has no number stamped, but visually seems a tad bigger.

Original chinese jet did the job. Also, oil is being fed into the venturi, no matter the location, so OK. Next issue, seat lock rod got misplaced, does smbd know the placement and actual movement, as lock rotation to the right and seat latch movement forward somehow dont go together. That's the part i need, but no problem to produce it from strong wire. How does it go together? Lock spring is available.
