Nice work. I bet that wasn't easy without proper tools.

Dude, it took forever! 🤣🤣🤣 I have a CNC mill at work, but never seem to be able to book time on it. Students have finals coming up and they need it more than I do.
Like the tires, though, I figure it's good to learn how to do it by hand just in case you have to make do.
I do love building these machines though. Gonna go looking for a small mill next. This bit of work has shown me the value of having the ability to fabricate.

This is the weekend! Intake is here, so is my cheapie 21mm carb. Gonna get the RT pulled apart tonight and get everything prepped! Tomorrow I'm gonna hook up the 103, and we'll see if I put it together properly. 🙏🤞

Lol! I try to stay away from wheelies. Boring I know, but I have terrible luck and I find it best to not tempt fate.

Alright. We got the 103 swapped up. Took a little longer than expected. I'm not in a huge hurry on this thing. Just trying to take time and make sure I don't miss any steps. Interesting note- the Vento Zip final drive axle will fit in an Adly case, but... It WILL NOT fit the wheel on an RT 50. The Adly made axle is slightly thinner. I don't know about other Adly wheels, but no go on the RT. Not mad about it. I yanked the gears out of the 50 case and everything fit perfectly. Have to mothball the old 50 case as a back up or until I can find a frame to fit it on. I will miss that Malossi 70. Damn good cylinder. I may move that over to the Yamati if something happens to the Naraku. Alright. It's late and I'm gonna slap these guys back together tomorrow a.m. then spend rest of the day figuring out the PWK carb.

In the picture, one of the exhaust bolts isn't tightened up. 🙈 It does look quite close to the tire. How does it line up and just attached to the exhaust port?.

Highs and lows today. The rig I was gonna use to adapt my new 21mm carb is not quite working out for the stock air box. Yeesh. I really don't want to go to pods. In mean time, my stock carb should at least be able to get started. Gonna be under-powered, but it should hold til I can get something sorted out. The good news is that the V8 pipe fits this bike like it was made for it! I really am shocked. It's a tight fit, BUT it's not running on anything, so I think I'm good. The pipe is pretty close to the tire. This is a new one for me. Normally pipes are kicked way out. If anyone sees this as being too close for heat or other reasons, hit me up.
see what it looks like if you shim it out with washers. might take several (2-8) to kick it out sufficiently to feel comfortable with it's position in relation to the wheel. might also need to get longer bolts if you decide to shim it out a lot, if more than 2 washers.
if you think it's okay for now, try it out. for all you know, it might be good enough right now.

All tightened up and alignment is good! Took the spacers off the Yasuni to give another half inch or so from tire.

repherence2 yeah it is close. Not worried about hitting tire. I bounced up and down on it hard, shook the wheels, picked up the bike and gave it a short drop. No rubbing so everything is tight. I'm mostly worries about heat. Don't wanna pop a rear tire cause it had a hot ass exhaust too close to it.

Contact! She's alive. Fired up after about 5 kicks. Smoked like a sumbitch for a minute and then settled down. Am overly rich am sure of that. Got the sputters and low power. Needle seems right. She wakes right up in middle of throttle. Idles pretty nice. Got some fiddling to do. Temps look right. No hotter than the 70cc. Need some heavier rollers, I think. I know it's not a terribly huge concern, but this thing is just slamming those 7.5s around like they are tic-tacs. I'm gonna scoot it up and down the alley for a bit and make sure it's not eating my belt too. Other than that V8 on the pipe. This thing looks damn close to stock.

Last little bit for the night. I yanked the snorkel from the air box since I'm running the stock carb. Figured she will need the extra air. To be safe, I up jetted 20% across board, so we're at 110 main, 27.5 idle, and needle is fully raised. Too rich for sure. I think I can probably get away with 105 on the main. No major issues on the runs up and down the alley, other than over rich condition. By the time all this gets sorted, it'll be time to.put the 21mm carb on it. I'm still gonna see if I can find a way to fit the new carb to.stock box, but if I can't by midweek, then pods it is. I really would rather not do that, but it is.what it is.
Also have to change up transmission settings. Currently set up for high revs with the Malossi and Yas Z pipe. Need to adjust it for the lower revs on the 103.
All in all. I'm a very happy dude! As always thank you to everyone here that kept an eye on me, helped me along, and kept me from doing something stupid. It really means a lot. You guys are awesome!
