I would like to ask someone how could I make my power band smooth out. When starting from 0 its goes up to 4000rpm and then shoots up in a second to 9000rpm making a ton of power I would like it to be from 0 and nőt from 4000rpm. Setup: Ported 3kj engine 70cc no name cylinder kit No name 17.5 carb with 86 main and needle in middle Stock airbox snorkel removed Squish at 1.06 malossi head Carbon reeds and raised as Brent did Variator stock with 3 6.5 and 3 5.0 rollers Stock clucth with yellow springs

Dialing in Power bands Do it by feel and then by rpms
Takeoff is primarily clutch springs The starting above 4k sounds right you need to start in the power band as you roll on the throttle If you roll slow for 30 feet and then take off with power you need stiffer clutch springs . If you jump off the line with power your springs are stiff enough. Power bands on stock motors start closer to 4k rpms than zero as you up the power of your build it will start higher .
Variator Shifting Is weights primarily The Jumping to 9k rpms sounds right When you hit the throttle wide open The rpms should jump to for example 9k and hold and then rise never falling . The easiest way to dial this in is to do high speed runs on the same stretch of road . Take the lightest weight that gives that feels best and gives best Top speed .
That way you get the Best acceleration and best Top Speed
