I got my 19mm Malossi Dellorto and find it very difficult to assemble due to the spring tension and limited travel of the throttle cable. That said, my throttle cable is at the loosest setting using the adjustable barrel nuts that I'd typically use. I'm hoping it stretches a bit, but I'm wondering if there are any other tricks to it. Basically, I just need to find an easier way to access the needle and reassemble.
Maybe I'm missing something easy?

To adjust the needle clip on my dellorto carb I remove the slide assy and cap from the carb then compress the spring with the slide to release the cable, its a bit tricky but doable with practice.

There is a knack to it. Bunch the spring up toward the cap of the carb. Then you can hold it with one hand, leaving the cable slack, and easy to undo with the other hand.

Yeah . That seems to be what I’m doing. I guess I just need to practice, because it was very difficult to reassemble.

What I do is pull up the spring catching the coils on the edge of the slide. Pinch the cable, pull towards opening, and push down. To put it back together. I compress the spring enough to have ~1cm of cable sticking out, slide the end into its spot on the slide then pull away with the slide while holding the bottom of spring and also guiding the cable into the opening until the bottom of the spring can be caught on the edge of the slide. I have poor dexterity/strength in my fingers, and this is the easiest way i've found especially after going from my stock weak spring mikuni carb to the much stiffer spring in my 21mm Dellorto PHBG.
