Go way too big and work down till it cleans up and you are not fouling plugs
Is just go up over 10 % from where you are now since you are adding a pipe
If you were adding a open filter or modding the air box starting above 20 % would be a good place.
The first thing you should notice after swapping the jet
While running it should get deeper sounding and feel a little gurgly as you hit the throttle wide open.
If not go 5 % larger .
So you Know you are on the excessively rich area .
Make high speed runs on the same stretch of road and go progressively smaller on the jets .
Track top speed and how it feels at wide open Take the jet that gives you highest speed and feels best .
If 2 are tied take the bigger jet .
Needle
After you sorted out the main
Tune the needle by running the mid range 1/4 through 3/4 throttle .
Best Throttle response wins
Lower the clip first see if you like it better if so lower again .
Go back to the original position and then go leaner by raising the clip .
Take the one that you like best If two position are close take the richer one .
Idle Mixture screw
Last is a small turn on the idle mixture to give best throttle response in the 0-1/4 throttle range.
Overall this would get you in a safe tuning range that would be a notch Rich .
If you have a Temp Gauge Wide Open Jets on long runs or Up hill Level off below 350 degrees works best.
Mid throttle should level off well below your wide open number. .
