Hey guys,
I’ve had a problem with my oil pipe for a long Time and I think it’s time to change it. I’m talking about the tube that goes from the oil tank to the engine (supplies the engine with oil), does anyone know how much these tubes cost? Or what they are called I’ve tried to find them on Amazon but I can’t seem to find them, is it worth taking it to a mechanic to fix it or could a newbie like me fix it at home?
Thanks

Thank you for the link to a new pipe, just wondering does the oil in the resovoir tank heat up while the engine is running or is it just pumped into the engine? I’m going to a mechanic on Monday because I can’t get access to the far end of the pipe connected to the engine without a bike jack and I don’t want him to do me for a new oil tank. Cheers 🍻

It just pumps it to the engine. The pipe from the tank goes to the pump, behind the flywheel. Then a smaller diameter pipe, goes from the pump to the carb. No need to Jack up the bike. Here is the oil pump removal guide Brent made. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/564You can see the pump on this. And the pipe you need to replace. You only need a flywheel puller. They are cheap, and you could easily do it yourself.

As aeroxbud said above...no need to go to a highly paid mechanic to potentially squeeze you dry, when you can squeeze yourself dry!
