There is member that mentioned to make a build thread. I will post here for now on than clogging up the forums. I have a 2009 Adly Hammerhead that has a Mineralli short stretched two stroke engine with a 17.5 mikuni carb. In the beginning when i bought this scooter I was strugging with financials. I even bought this scooter by selling my plasma. At that time the scooter was all stock and original. Atm finacials are ok. For example the scooter always had problems "like duct taping half the intake of the breather box for it to run" and today I found out this problem was formed from a bad exhaust pipe. I bought a tecnigas silent pro minarelli pipe, #77.5 jet, #80 jet, #82.5 jet for the mikuni carb. a SSP-G Minarelli Performance Variator 17 spline 16x13 slots which is not installed yet. Roller tuning kit, arrived today. 1500rpm yellow compression spring & clutch spring "being mailed". An umcommon newish belt installed while back. Newish i think ngk spark plug, new air filter. New back tire smh old one got stabbed by an ignorant ****, <All installed. I have installed the tecnigas exhaust, #77.5 jet recently last two days. Just waiting on the springs and I will continue, arriving somewhere after 22nd of this month. I have taken it for a quick short spin, i cant wait to complete the tuning 😁 here is video and sound.

Contra Spring You might not need a stiffer contra at all unless yours is tired . You just want a stiff enough contra to stop belt slip on a street build any stiffer you get extra wear and tear on your belt . Now for race builds you swap belts and parts between races so who cares about extra wear and tear. Racers go with stiffer contra's so that you down shift quicker so you come out of corners in low gear.
Clutch Springs You might like stiffer ones better especially if your stock ones are tired you will start Higher in the pipes power band so will take off with more power .

Will it be okay to use 1500 RPM yellow clutch springs with the contra spring that is in it now? I have to cut some trees down today so I don't have time today to pull off to CVT cover but I need to. probably tomorrow I'm going to pick up a scale to figure out the equation of weights that are in the stock variator and drop a half gram weight of the variator figure out that equation for the roller tuning kit. and since the CVT cover will be off I will pull the clutch and take the bell off figure out what's in it and take pictures of all of it. thank you for this information.

I measured the inner diameter of the existing fuel line on my scooter I hope this is the right stuff it says quarter inch which I measured for the existing. if not it's got a 30-day return I also got a fuel filter

As long as you have a safe tune on the carb . Rip around with the trans as is for a week or 2 so you have a baseline feel for take off and power band Then when you start tuning the cvt just change one thing at a time . That way in the future you will be able to trouble shoot your cvt .
I like to start with clutch springs first to see if I like the take off better . Rip around for a day or so to make sure you are really dialed in.
Then work on the weights Go down in weights a half gram at a time .Until you find the one that feels best and gives you best top speed.
Contra If you go to a stiffer contra just be aware you will be going to heavier weights in the variator to over come the spring and get the same shift points .

I should have opened the fuel line packege, bought from tractor supply.

Good suggestion on Napa 👍 I'll have to call tomorrow. My fuel line is 1/4"id amd 3/8"od. O'Reilly's is pretty far from me so I'll have to call Napa if all fails I'll have to resort to partsforscooters.com. I need to replace all the fuel lines the one coming from top of the gas tank for the line to the petcock the one from the bottom of the gas tank to the petcock and the lines going from the petcock to the carb and the line between gas tank and petcock that connects to the fuel filter. they are nasty. I'm glad I pulled my panels off. I'll resort to the cart if Napa & lawn mower place doesn't have what I need I need clamps too so.

I went to every all the auto parts stores in lawn mower shops by me and they don't carry nothing that resembles 1/4 id & 3/8 od.
I'm out hold up on the gas signs until I get this thing tuned

I can see a yellow contra spring. atm its revs real high at slow speeds. like there isnt a 2nd gear. i tried 3.5g tuning rollers which was way to high rpm, i have 5.5g tuning roller weights in it now, from the sound, really high rpm. I am going to try 6g. maybe even 6.5g after 6g. we'll see how it pans out tomorrow. I lost patience and got irritated pulling a CVT cover off and variator.
