I hate to bump this thread without updates on my part but I haven't had any time at all to mess around due to other priorities. Holidays came and went, and long story short my phone disappeared into the ocean / beach and had turned off cloud backup around the end of September. (WHOOPS)

Anyway, that just means I have no pictures of my shit apart. lol FML

I also think it's really strange that there seems to be some kind of wiring problem. The bike sat in the garage and was not exposed to weather so that's odd. I'll have to check for spark the next go around. I tried re-seating a connector or two on the harness but there isn't really a lot to jiggle. hmmph. If I don't have spark, does anyone know what to check for next? The CDI or magneto / coil thingy bad maybe? LOL I have to re-learn all this.
