I’m wondering how to do with the EGR vent canister that goes from the engine case to the little exhaust tube? Block it off or vent it with filter, Do I need to keep the canister? The new sport exhaust doesn’t have the little vent tube like the stock exhaust. Thanks

Get rid of the canister has no function for your pipe.
What pipe are you running ? Did you have to mod the bracket ?
A Fellow Roughhouse builder would like to know pictures would be great.

I just bought a 21 roughhouse sport. I have a few hundred miles on it. I bought the Prima sport exhaust , not a expansion chamber. Looks like stock exhaust without the vent tube on it. It did not come with any instructions. I have not put it on yet so I don’t know how it fits . I hope I don’t have to play with the fit.

Make sure you have a couple larger jets so you dont cook your cylinder.
With stock carb a 90 to 95 main jet is what seems to be where everyone ends up .
That pipe will flow better .
If you have the stock non adjustable carb you may need to go up on the pilot jet to a 38 or 40 .

Tuck the hose up that comes from the cvt that goes to the canister . As far as that exhaust even though it looks stock it is alot lighter and doesnt have the catalytic converter holding the flow back . I would expect for you to have better take off and top speed like the rest of the aftermarket street pipes.

Would you know what RPM the rev limiter is set at from the factory? I see tuned pipes range from 8500-1400 rpm. Your help is greatly appreciated! Thanks

Conventional wisdom is dont run stock cranks above 10 k rpms If your swapping on a street pipe most of them are designed to make power in that 5k to 9k rpm zome which is very safe for stock cranks . The expansion pipes at the Yasuni R level and below run up to 10 k rpms . If you plan on running one of those expansion pipes you really need to upgrade your carb to feed the beast. I am not aware of a rev limiter on the 2 stroke roughhouse . That comes into play with the 10k rpm and below builds guti's results are here 57 mph and he did not come up against a rev limiter 49ccscoot.proboards.com/user/11316/recent?q=roughhouse

Can anyone tell me if the Prima tuned pipe works well on a stock roughhouse ? If the Yasuni R tuned pipe would work on a stock roughhouse ? Thanks any info would be greatly appreciated

For Expansion pipes The Yasuni R is one of the best pipes you can buy for 50 cc and 70cc set ups as long as you rebalance the transmission with lighter weights and stiffer clutch springs . You will need to up jet the carb . You will have to either get a new bracket that you make yourself or drill extra hols in the Yasunis Bracket .
The prima expansion pipe would also require rebalancing the trans and up jetting the Carb so you are in the power band when you hit the throttle and have good take off.
Now the Prima street pipe you bought like all street type pipes doesnt require as extreme change in the transmission usually just a small change in weights and stiffer springs . It also bolts right up

I guess I’m going to have to give the sport exhaust a chance. The pipe I’m attracted to is the yasuni z as it has the lowest and widest power band . I see a lot of people use the Prima tuned piped on the roughhouse as it’s max power is at 8500 rpm.I don’t want a peaky pipe but torque. I’m really not interested in spinning over 9000 rpm as belt drive really lose efficiency. I want a street scooter with the most torque I can get out of it. I’m going to try to remove the Welch plug over the mixture adjustment. It seams very lean in stock form until the motor is running temp.

You just might like the Scooterworks exhaust with your goals .
The Street pipes tecnigas silent pro ,malossi wild lion ,polini speed, gianelli go,naraku traffic ,Stage 6 Street all spin up into high 8s and low 9s .
I would take any of those over a lower end expansion pipe like the Prima exhaust.
For less money you can get the Yasuni Z and it is a way better pipe .

Do think there is hope for removing the welch plug or efforts better for buying a new carb for the adjustment. It drives me crazy that manufacture does this.

3 choices 1)replace carb Too spendy for that kinda money buy a dellorto 19mm kit
2)You could remove the welch plug , ease out the screw and then dremel a groove in the screw head so you can adjust it
3)Buy the next size up in pilot jets a 38 and a 40. On the Modern Buddy forum this what was done with stock carb most often
I chose # 3 since I am going to build with a street exhaust they require smaller jetting changes .
As long as one of those pilot jets has good transition to the needle I will use it . I have washers that I will shim the needle .
I find the main and needle are the most important circuits to get right .
I can live with a idle that is a notch too rich on a sport build .
If I went to a higher flowing expansion pipe I would upgrade to the 19mm Dellrto Carb kit .

Can you tell me if these other street exhaust system mentioned above would bolt up or require modification to the brackets like the stage 6 street exhaust on the roughhouse?
