My temps today on my buzzing around was 70 degrees. I am around 800 feet above sea level .
Just go slow on dropping down If you feel like you are between main jets try the larger pilot to split the difference .
If your Speed levels off or the sound at a throttle position sounds like zing zing zing with a higher pitch you are going lean .
Best way to set the needle and pilot jets take the richest one with best throttle response .
The pilot is pretty easy . Rev the throttle after you are all warmed up if it drops back to idle speed quickly it is rich enough. If it hangs at a higher speed and takes awhile to come down you are too lean .
When you get too big on the pilot when you rev it it will drop below your target idle and then clean up and go back up to your idle target. You will also feel sluggish transitioning too needle.

scooterworks exhaust is not enough bang for the buck Biggest plus Bolts right up and is lighter than the stock exhaust. Biggest minus Does not push into a higher rpms range than stock pipe so top end increase is minimal Power increase is minimal . My experience with street pipes on other stock minnareli engines the power increase is noticeable. The rpms push 500-1000 rpms higher which adds to top speed . I should have modded brackets so I can test up a couple of street pipes for comparison this next week . I have the Stage 6 Street and The Malossi Wild Lion(Gianelli Go ,Polini Speed ) and a Yasuni R to rip around with. I ran a Yasuni R ,Stage 6 Street <Wild Lion and the ScooterWorks exhaust The Scooterworks Exhaust is just behind the Stage 6 Street and Wild Lion for Top Speed 43-44 mph and Power on the Stock Cylinder The Stage 6 Street Revs the Highest Scooterworks the Lowest . The Stock Cylinders Exhaust port is veruy restrictive so you dont see or feel a big difference in the street pipes. You can keep close to stock trans setting and small or no upjetting with stock carb . The Yasuni R is much more powerful on takeoff and top end with the stock cylinders Needs much Lighter weights and Stiffer Clutch springs to take advantage of the higher powerband . With the Stock Carb it needs to be Upjetted .

That is great work!! Do you have a part number for the Mollossi exhaust that you used? Would the Yasuni z bolt right up or would I be better off with the Yasuni R for a tuned pipe? You also mentioned your using sliders. I would like to know the secret on using sliders as I have tried them with various variators on my ruckus and not need happy. The problem I have is erratic shifting / rpm . I have stoned/polished the burs on the lamp plate with better results but I can’t get it to be consistent . I have pretty good results with rollers . I have not changed the weights or variator on the roughhouse because stock it seems to work pretty good. The sliders I have used on the ruckus are dr pulley.

With Sliders the key is to make sure they are installed right . they work only one way if one of the 6 is installed wrong it would shift wrong and be out of balance . I mark the sliders with an permanent marker so I install them right every time . On a 50 cc the street pipes Wild Lion ,Tcnigas silent pro ,Stage 6 Street are a small upgrade over the scooterworks exhaust . Unless you want to keep the stealthy look and the rear fender . I would go for the Yasuni Pipes the Z or R They are bigger upgrades for power and speed The Z has a bracket that bolts right up The R you will need to modify the bracket with a dremel or drill the bracket holes are to far apart . The malossi wild Lion part number 3216578 or use the polini speed pipe part number 200.0319 if in stock they are the same pipe just rebadged Gianelli Go pipes . www.scootertuning.ca/en/3017-exhaust-systems

I jetted own to an # 80 and not going any leaner. It’s great off the line, but when riding around 15mph and roll on the throttle is seems flat. Top end RPM seems ok with a top speed around 41mph . It almost feels as I need to lighten up the clutch weights . At 18 mph it’s seems to shift imore aggressive and pulls the RPMs down and feels flat. It feels like a two speed transmission . I’m really not liking the exhaust . It doesn’t seem any faster. Maybe it’s coming off the pipe per say, but if peek rpm is same as stock and it feels I have lost a lot in the mid range. I feel I should ad weight for xtra power not take it away. Would you know what weight rollers come stock. I do have a scale but I have multiple sets of DR pulley sliders from the ruckus to try . I feel it probably a waste of time and need to put efforts somewhere else

7.5 grams is what I had in for stock rollers. 6 and 6.5 gram sliders are the range I like best with that pipe .
What you feel at 18 mph is when the torque driver drops into the second groove . With a street pipe you can power through it If you had a expansion pipe that stock dual angle torque driver would pull you out of it and really bog down .

I will try the 6.5 gr sliders. I wish I had another stock roughouse to guage it to . I don’t know if it’s in my head but the stock pipe seemed to power thru it better, seemed made it more linear. Maybe it’s the tone of the pipe , defiantly deeper sounding when it shifts past the 18mph range. It just seemed to me the stock pipe was more responsive on an off the throttle. Just maybe it’s the sound. With the stock rollers at 7.5 gr. It revs up fast to the 18 mph mark. What would I experience with the 6.5 sliders of the line and when hitting the 18 mph mark.

#80 jet it giving me a max temp of 336 degrees. That’s holding wide open up and down hills for about 3 miles. For the most part temp was 325-330. I’m going back to the #82 and I’m going to lighten the clutch weights to 6.5 gr DR Pulley sliders and see how it goes in the stock variator.

Sounds like your pretty close on the jetting with that 3 mile acid test .

I put the stock pipe back on with #82 main jet . I had a max temp of 349 degrees. Midrange did feel better especially at the 18 mph mark. I have a stock base line for temp. I’m going to put the 6.5 DR Sliders in and re test with stock pipe and the try the scooter works pipe again. I think in need a 72cc sport kit. I also ordered a Polini exhaust . To try next

The Kit will make the biggest difference . The polini street pipe/malossi wild lion is a small up grade over scooter works exhaust on the stock cylinder. The stock cylinders exhaust port is mostly closed so it really puts a lid on rpms .
I havent drove a stock 50cc for a long time I forgot how underpowered they are .

Can you recommend a good sport kit . There are so many and different materials. I did see the exhaust port and was thinking of taking my grinder to it, I saw on the inside there is a casting indentation where it looks like it should be, especially on the width of the port on the inside.

Malossi sport is my go to kit it has the o-ring head . Wide power band. Stock carb friendly . Very reliable cast iron lower revving stock crank friendly . Pairs well as is with street pipes all the way up to Expansion pipes like The Yasuni R You can mildly port it like the guys in Europe by raising and widening the exhaust port a couple mm and have it run with the higher revving Yasuni C16 . Easy for me to get ahold of from multiple suppliers scootertuning and scooterpartsco ,dynoscooter ,scooterswap shop, drow sports Here are some other choices and a good write up . www.pedparts.co.uk/blog/malossi-sport-vs-polini-sport-vs-stage6-sport-pro-70cc

It’s it possible to change the cylinder with the engine still in the chassis ?
