I've been doing a project scooter fo abcoupke of month. 50mm piston 69mm valves 19mm carb (32 & 87) Sspg camshaft qmb139
After installing the camshaft the scooter doesn't wanna go faster than 30. Once I get to 8krpm she starts bogging out. Like trying to push but it can't. Has anyone experienced this issue.. im thinking could be jet related?

Have you tried a different main jet?
Have you ever had it over 8,000RPM before? If not, it may be rev limited. If you can secure it well enough to be safe, you may be able to put the scoot up on the center stand and rev it to see if it passes 8,000RPM. Again, just make sure you're safe. You don't want the rear wheel accidentally touching the ground so it takes off.

Did u install the cam after bbk kit? Was it running good with bbk and stock cam or everything was done at once? I put my cam on after my bbk kit and I needed to go up a jet size and I had already went up with the bbk also like said above it could be rec limited and I would double check the cam timing

Check to make sure you didn't put the cam in backwards. Or 180 degrees off I mean! I did that when I first started.

jtalk, try doing the cam 180 off again. You will find that the crankshaft is at TDC when that happens.. Just rotate the crank 1 revolution, and the cam should align properly. I would check that the cam is not one tooth off. THAT will affect the power developed, and the general 'happiness' of the engine. It will become a cranky old goat with the cam off by a tooth. tom

I could go up to 10k rpm with thebstock cam. I understand a naraku unrestricted cdi and she still ssporadic. I thought my spring could've being getting overloaded but I installed an sspg head to go with the cam. Swapped rocker arms to 64mm since the head is 64mm valves. The timing on the cam sounds good. No clanky sounds. I tried the cam a tooth off and forward and. I even took the head off to make sure I was at TDC & still doing it. Weird thing is ancleaned the carb and shell be fine for just one small ride sort of then start again. Im installing a new carb to see if there's any difference...

I think it's probably the carb. Put a carb for a 150cc scooter on there.
