I put the 88 in and got up to 55 without realizing it. I bottomed out my speedometer. The temp didn't go past 360 wot and lowered to 330 on cruise at 84F outside. Also, what probably helped was I put the stock fan back on. I didn't feel any air being drawn in when I put my hand over the air intake with the "upgraded" fan. I do with the stock so I'm just going to leave the stock on. The muffler is hotter with the stock on so I'm assuming more air flow. I'm pretty happy with this. I think I'm at a good spot for now. I have a wideband 02 sensor and gauge coming soon. Should be here Monday or Tuesday so I'm going to hook that up and get it a little more dialed in. What a ride

Guess we were posting at the same time. It's 86F right now so not that hot. Actually pretty nice outside. The smoke from all the fires has let up a little for now, which is also nice. I don't have a tachometer. I thought the temp gauge was going to come with one but it didn't. The first one did but had wrong size sensor. The temps I was kind of going by was from this thread here: 49ccscoot.proboards.com/post/351476/thread . I know any temp number I take with a grain of salt, but when it reaches 400F, I kind of think that is a little excessive, but I could be wrong on that as well. That is about how hot it is when I start smelling weird smells coming from it. . From what I can find and also what I rember when I had a temp gauge in my 150cc 300 to 350 is acceptable. If I remember correctly my 150 ran about 325 to 350 not much more than that. If 370 is highest u see I would go up main jet size one at a time till it starts to loose rpm or run badly than go down one size. Try a 92 and a 94. U can order separate jets in 1 increments. Also when y find what size works for you go in a reputable online shop and buy a name brand main and idle I do not like the cheap Amazon jets I find they do not work as well and I always have trouble jetting with them I have every size in name brand and I find I do less tuning I find the right jet faster

Running great! I haven't installed the O2 sensor yet as I've been a little busy. Ended up going back to the 28 idle jet. 30 was just too rich. I liked how the 30 was cooling it down real quick as I idled at stop lights but ran so bad in the cooler mornings. Still getting up to almost 400F but It's not turning the oil dark like it was so Imma chocking that up to being too rich. I've been driving it for the last 2 weeks and it runs so good. Did a valve adjustment today. They got a little loose. Going 88 on the main jet really put some power into it.
Overall, I'm really happy. Hopefully this weekend I'll get that O2 sensor installed and get it dialed in real good.
Couldn't have done it without you, my friend. I really appreciate it.

I was just about to post that those fan upgrades are trash. That was your problem. Glad you figured it out.

It runs great! I did get the O2 sensor installed and got it a little rich for the idle (13 on average) since the temperature here has plummeted to below freezing in the morning. For cruise and WOT, it's around 14.5. Ideal is 14.6. The reading is kind of erratic but that's about how it is on average.

That's where it was from where we left off or did u change jets after we spoke last?

I did end up having to change the needle back to one click rich from middle and lower the idle back to the 28. If I remember right, main had to be lowered to 87. My speedometer tops out at 50 and went a ways past that before slowing down. Probably got up to around 60. I'll have to use gps next time I test it.

But 50 on a qmb ur doing real good

We should make a thread, and pin it on the boards to never install those "turbo fan upgrades". They move way less air.

So I'm still having problems. I was going to try and dial it in just a little more when I made it really rich. I parked it and thought I'd put it back the way it was Monday at work. That was Thursday. So it sat until Monday when I got on it and started it up, the O2 sensor now shows off the chart lean. Won't even show a number. When I first start it up, it will show around 12-13 then it will start going all the way up until I get --- on the indicator. I put everything back the way it was before last Thursday and does the same thing. I found a YouTube video on how to test the O2 sensor with a towel and brake cleaner and it worked. The sensor reads totally rich with the towel wrapped around the sensor and totally lean when I take it off. I'm actually at a loss about what's going on. Not sure what to do at this point. Could it be the carburetor choke? I hear the engine slow down after a minute or two so maybe not. I know I need to do a valve adjustment as I started hearing them chatter. Could they be that bad? I'll be working on it tomorrow.

Any intake manifold leak or exhaust leak near the head can cause lean check all ur gaskets at the manifold and exhaust and vacuum lines. Check to be sure u have good flow coming from the fuel feed line and be sure ur jets are clean they do clog up with some milage. U sure u put it back with the jets u had in when it was good. Either way clean them with carb cleaner. Like remove them and clean and poke out with a jet cleaner or thin wire that will fit through. I would double check and be sure u have no vacuum leak or even a slight exhaust leak at the flange can cause way lean
