Got a clone phbg 21mm to go with my stage6 streetrace 70 kit and technigas triop system, the jets with it I can't get it to rev past 4.5k rpm sound like it's limiting, the maths off this site says a 105 jet should be about right so I got 100,105,108 fitted the 105 still doing it, rev it up and revs drop BELOW 1800RPM then climb back to idle speed, doesn't matter on the needle clip position either does it on all. Would this mean my idle jet is too large and IL need to get smaller one before can start tuning correctly? I'm using premix at 33:1 may just go back to using the oil pump instead ran fine on the 17.5 carb 🤣 1st 2 stroke so this is all a learning curve, I skipped over Peds and 125 in my youth went straight to cars then big boy bikes but the ped is a giggle I'm enjoying when it's working and not broke 😬 please help with some ball park jetting so I can get back riding, missing 2 wheels and smokin around 🤣 should of just got an aerox but this China special is a good challenge lol

Sounds like the 105 main jet is too big. Does it rev higher w/ the 100? What size pilot/idle jet are you using? Are you running the stock airbox?

Using a uni filter, does it the same with the 100 jet and the 90 jet, has a 50 idle jet from the listing on eBay

You are likely getting a lean bog then flooding with fuel causing the dip in rpm when you let off from having the pod filter and too large of a pilot jet. Having too much airflow like from a pod filter makes them harder to tune and requires constant fiddling with the carb whenever there is a change in temp/humidity. I'd try using the stock airbox with the snorkel removed and pick up a pilot jet set (high 30s low 40s). A cylinder head temp gauge comes in really handy for carb tuning aim for below 350*F temp after running WOT until the temp levels off. I've ordered a 45 pilot jet which has arrived, I don't have a standard air box for it, got it as a non runner fitted a naraku 59cc barrel and piston it ran, but it wouldn't do more than 35-40 so got the stage6 street race 70 and technigas exhaust, I've also got a main jet ranging from 90 to 105, I have a koso temp guage I robbed off my bandit was used as oil temp guage and got a CHT to sit under the spark plug and I've fitted an oversized cooling fan

33 to 1 is a lot of oil 40 to 1 or 50 to 1 is plenty . That is leaning you out along with the pod filter.
Does the exhaust note of the engine change at all as you change jets ? You have a big range Rich sounds dull flat and deep BUh BUh Buh Lean sounds higher pitched and Zingy and when you are in the right range it sounds like Hornets Buzzing. What color is predomiant on your Plug Graham Cracker Brown is good ,Black is too rich white or Grey is dangerous
Your 50 pilot is too big based on that it drops below target idle.
Setting Idle/pilot jet
The pilot Jet is the easiest jet to get right . Set the mixture screw at 1 1/2 turns out .
Blip the throttle after you are all warmed up if it drops back to idle speed quickly it is rich enough. If it hangs at a higher speed and takes awhile to come down you are too lean .
When you get too big on the pilot when you Blip it it will drop below your target idle and then clean up and go back up to your idle target. You will also feel sluggish transitioning too needle .
You can fine tune up to 1 turn in either direction depending on if you need richer or leaner based on throttle response after you have the main and needle set
If you cant control it within 1 turn look at the next sized pilot jet .
The main is the next one you should work on just go with the biggest jet that gives you best top speed and has that hornet buzz sound .
Set the needle based on best throttle response .

I went off what the listing stated, yesterday I fitted the 45 pilot I got from racing planet and upon removal it's a 45 stamped on it, still waiting for my choke cable to arrive so can have it fitted and really get sorted on the fueling, my neighbours are complaining about me starting it in the garden and revving up 🤣 gonna hate me when my bandit 600 comes over to the house 😏 but either way I'm now only trying to spend 30-60 mins every other day doing the ped so as not to piss em off much more 🤣
Carb is 1.5 turns out and when rev it up it's clean and quick up to 4-4.5k then it's like hitting a limiter noise doesn't even attempt to go higher and won't return to idle drops to 1k then cleans out.
Expensive month this month coz I recently fitted a scrapyard turbo to my Audi tdiand that popped after 140 miles so gone for new one then the ped is costing coz I want fast and I'm yet to even start on my bandit, had a 60mph spill in Feb so it's getting a nut n bolt restro I got it free 2 year ago so 👌 the ped was originally for my 15 yr old son for his 16th after his mum sad no coz of my accident i got it anyway so he has it regardless of mum being over protective 🤣 but because I'm using it I want to keep it IL buy him a zip or something instead 🤣
