Has anyone had any issues with a new kevlar belt slipping when new u usually use bando kevlar my wife ordered me the wrong brand kevlar some mmg brand. I've never had the bando slip new before but this one slips in acceleration if I put a spare belt I have in I get no slip I'm just wondering if possibly it will stop slipping once it wears in a bit or if it's just crap

Kevlar belts do take a bit of wearing in. Never had one slip though. Did you measure the thickness and compare the size with your old one? Different manufacturers measure belt size differently. So just because it says the same size on the box. Doesn't mean it's the same.

Don't have a micrometer at this time but I put the belt back to back with another belt that works and eyeing it looks the same. I took it out tonight and beat it up a bit and it's def got less slip I'm not sure if that was bc it was heated up or it's starting to seat in and grab better the slip has def been more noticeable the first few minutes of driving but it slipped even as it heated for last 3 days. Tonight after beating in it it was pretty much grabbing good but idk how it will be in am again. I like the bando kevlar belts bc the width is actually 18.2 as opposed to 18 most other belts are it actually helps it grab better and ride up more in variator but I never got any slip out of them even new
