I recently purchase the Kymco Super hey with a malossi cast 70cc kit installed by previous owner along with 19 mm dellorto phbg carburetor paired with a Leo Vance zxr handmade exhaust with carbon fiber silencer it's come to my attention when I bought the Super 8 I knew that it was not running but the deal is too good to pass up I found that the Rings in the piston we're completely destroyed the cylinder had damage to one of the port in the cylinder apparently that it hit it so hard it pushed the thinnest part of the wall of the port in I did not fall off it's still there but it's cracked on one side I did not have enough money to purchase whole new malossi kit so I got new rings and a piston well here's my problem I would try to start it with the push button it would act like it wanted to it was getting fire but it just there just was not enough ignition to rotate the motor on its own. I did find out that by holding my hand over the carburetor flooding the motor releasing it and holding the throttle wide open would sometimes get it to start it would not idle at all with the idle control screw turn down it would only sort of idle with the idle screw turned all the way in and barely idle, and the fuel mixture screw it would have to be turned all the way in 450 considering when starting I reduce the pilot jet size no success the idle control screw always had to be turned as far in as possible for it to do just anything then when it did run he ran pretty pretty decent I guess that means I'm not sure what to stroke but the powerband would kick in at about 10 miles an hour and I just rip it but I always had to give it throttle when sitting still just flipping it the entire time then I discovered the kick-start which started on the first kick I'm assuming that is a power consumption issue due to the LED headlights that were previously installed from the other owner sucking all the juice away from the coil maybe I don't know but it would still do the same thing hold the throttle wide open start no idle sort of idle but not very high and then it got to a point where I got fed up trying to get it started so I'm going to disassemble the top and again and see if you guys have any ideas I'm possibly repairing the cylinder itself or is it no good and I have to purchase a new one any help from you guys would be glorious at the moment I am frustrated and ready to give up and stick with 4-stroke I only got a taste but it overwhelming Lee aggravating at this point thank you in advance for any help that you guys are going to offer. I do apologize if there's any typos but I am speak texting due to work environment.
