I have a spare motor laying around. I can't have it just collecting dust so it will be built and swapped into my naked Venice. I'll be creating a post for each component and editing it with progress on each item. Here it is before I let myself loose on it. Top Speed: 40 MPH

Place holder for top end.
STAGE6 Sport PRO MKII 12 mm pin.
As is, the piston does not sit completely flush with the transfer floors at BDC.
Seeing that I'm running the stock crank, I'm ok with a little power deficit. Should I ever want to, I could get some base gaskets to raise up the jug a few mm.

Place holder for rear pulley + clutch I found that the ramp plate ( secondary pulley ) of a 02-11 zuma will fit the rear pulley of the TNG. The TNG spring sheave will not fit the zuma ramp plate. So that needs to be from a 02-11 zuma or aftermarket for the bugeye zuma as well. I'm running: stock TNG pulley NCY Adjustable secondary pulley NCY Secondary Spring seat ( the ball bearing one ) Contra Spring: Yellow malossi The stock contra spring is about half the length of the standard zuma spring. Clutch Spring: Yellow Clutch Springs

Gear box is done. I used a Harbor Freight two post bearing puller to remove and press the new gear. $45 bucks well spent. I also knew that the gearing on these motors is relatively short. The current motor doesn't touch 50mph even at 10,500-11k rpm. I'd like it to be closer to 60 mph for those revs. Stock gears: Primary: 13/48 Secondary: 12/36 Primary : 48 / 13 = 3.69 Secondary : 36 / 12 = 3 'Now you know both your primary and secondary gear ratios, so you just need to combine them to determine the final drive ratio. Multiply the primary and secondary ratios to find the final drive ratio.' - ( stole this from Brent's Tech Article ) 3.69(Primary) x 3(Secondary) = 11.07(Final) The 11.07 Final ratio makes a lot of sense to why this is geared so short. Primary : 41 / 15 = 2.73 Secondary : 36 / 12 = 3 2.73(Primary) x 3(Secondary) = 8.19(Final) <--- This is more like it!

Sounds like it will will be fun till it destroys the crank! Going to need a reasonable pipe for the sport pro. Would probably go for something like a C16 myself. Should still see well over 10hp, but might let the crank live a little while. Something better would just trash the crank.
