As I read through a lot of these threads I rarely hear about Leo Vance exhaust, why is that?

The ZX used to be the go to pipe for two strokes. Worked great with a standard bore. But still worked well with a sport kit. Very good price to compared to a Yasuni of stage 6. Eight out of ten scooters round here ten years ago had one. Such a shame they got into financial difficulties.

They mostly make 4t pipes I think.
Regarding their 2T line up, I've never been that much interested or impressed. I think they all come with baffles inside? They look cool yes, but performance wise...im not really sure... Really never seen them on any of the faster scoots. By that I mean bikes from kids who put 70cc's on it and like to make it faster. All the fast or cool kids ran Yasuni's (Z, R, C16) and Gianelli's (Reverse, NRX, Shot). When working as scooter mechanic around 12-13 yrs ago I had never had a bike in with one, put one under any bike nor ever tuned one with a LeoVince pipe.

They really liven up a 70cc cylinder with good Rev range for stock cranks. Fun wheelie pipe (if I ever got the courage to do them for more then 5 feet)

So what is the difference in the ZX and the ZX-R? Does "R"= racing which means no baffle in chamber?

I had a Leo Vince ZX pipe years ago which i used with a polini sport cast iron 70cc bbk and a Dellorto 21mm carb.
I swapped it out for a Laser X pro, because at the time everyone on the u.k forums said the ZX was pants and the X pro was superior performance wise.
It turned out to be an expensive mistake, after loads of messing around with the cvt and jetting to make the xpro work properly, I could detect no additional performance over the ZX... infact i preferred the power delivery of the ZX that suited the low down torque of the polini cast iron bbk perfectly.
you live and learn i guess... usually the expensive way.
