Well, I machined my flywheel to fit the 90 style crank on my vento to see how timing controlled ignition with a capacitor and a hoca ignition kit (same as ncy and such) but can someone give me an idea on how to troubleshoot what's wrong and what's the deal with these wires? Can I bypass these wires particularly the red and black wire tbat goes directly to the cdi? It ran for 2 seconds and I shut it off on a successful test, next morning it wouldn't start at all

I've never used that particular CDI or Ignition kit but by your picture it looks as though the white and red wire is the Power going to the Ignition coil Unless that is the wire coming off of the pickup I can't tell in the picture if it is coming off of the pick up on the stater plate that should go directly to the Cdi . The yellow and red wire appear to be coming from The main Bloom so in that case that actually is probably going directly to the Ignition point The black-and-white wires Appear to be Grounds your coil and your stater both both need their own unique groundwire Or could be a common wire or ground but most aren't like that The blackwire is the kill switch wire I'm guessing which if that grounds or touches the frame will not allow the engine to run I would check those connections meaning the black wires It's hard to tell but is that yellow objects your Ignition coil or is that a fuse of some sort?

The yellow block thingy goes from the red and black wire to the cdi as far as I can tell. An you're correct both the yellow/red wire come off the stator and there seems to be a ground located somewhere inside the actual stator bit. I can take more pics of different angles if it helps? It was a good ignition when it was on my sr50 but then just dies when mounted onto my zip engine A sadly I had the same issue with the ncy ignition, removed it once and never worked again 😔
