What part is this (which leaks onto the exhaust)?

Hi!

This 2018 Buddy 50 thingamajig leaked a few smelly drops from the hose clamp onto the exhaust. 
What is it, what is it's function, how to diagnose and correct the leak (so far, only happened once). 






The part # is P2286 - but I can't find reference to that anywhere.

I think that is an EGR type item but all the diagrams I looked at didn't show them. will keep looking in my spare time. didn't know genuine were selling 2 stroke engines in 2018. if you follow the other end of the hose you will find out what its for- its probably a filter that cleans some of the exhaust to reintroduce into the engine. funny place to put it, right over the exhaust.
