So I have a roma 150cc I've ordered a carb, exhaust, air filter, new fuel/vacuum lines, oil cooler, full cvt build, better battery, better ignition and cdi. I still have to get the parts before I put them on and start breaking it in.
But for now I have questions. I keep seeing online 232cc BBK and 241cc BBK but I know you have to mill the case to take those. But I read somewhere that you need a special case to take those really big BBK. I can find the kit with just the top end or the kit with the whole engine you just have to put it together. Which one should I get?
Also would it be possible to ever get this thing to highway speeds reliably? And what's the fastest speed ever achieved on one of these? Not trying for that as I just got this to wrench on and put put around on but the highway I do want

The difference in cases is the spacing between the cylinder studs 54mm is a Case and 57mm is a B case. A 157qmj is a A case the biggest u can go is 183cc. In order to go 232cc u need a B case. The engine mounts are the same just the cylinder spacing is 57mm. And yes I believe u could get to highway speeds my buddy has a vip 150 cc I put a 155cc cylinder, exhaust, uni pod filter,26mm nibbi carb, and a ssp cvt kit in for him I hit 64 mph top speed on it. And I haven't even finished tuning I believe even with a 183cc and the right mods/ tuning u would be at highway speeds. The Case needs boring to take a 183 cc cylinder there are a few 171cckits that are supposed to fit without boring

And does the oil cooler need a oil pump or will the internal pump handle it once upgraded, and for the big kits I don't want a vacuum carb so should I need electric fuel pump. And I've seen 11 12 and I think 18 pole stator. Oh and is this bike ac or dc cdi? Because I may have ordered the wrong one. And thank you very much for the quick and informative response.

That idk but I can tell u that even at 63 mph on a 150 frame feels a bit sketchy I'm not sure how much a 150cc frame can handle bro I gotta imagine with a 232 cc kit tuned with upgrades u gotta be hitting speeds of 80 plus I don't think I'd wanna be going much faster on a small frame like that. Those ssp kits will for sure get u going fast with taller gears u be hauling ass. Anything is really possible with a welder and skills but probably not worth the time it be easier to buy a different bike

As for the stator unless ur adding a lot more electrical draw the stock set up should be fine. If ur adding electric fuel pumps, fans,or radio and speakers than I'd look into a upgraded stator but I've nvr done that so there's probably someone else with better knowledge of that. I'm not sure if ur AC or DC I don't have a lot of personal experience with that particular bike but I'm pretty sure if u check at the cdi if u have a 12 volt power with the key in run position engine off u have a DC if no 12 v power at cdi key in u should be ac. On the carb is go with a 30 or 32 oko flat slide carb they add a ton of mid range power and instant throttle response I'm not sure if u need a electric fuel pump or not but I eliminate the vacuum petcock and run bigger 1/4 automotive fuel hose with a manual petcock I've never had flow issues with that set up.

Tadia makes so w if the best parts around for the bigger set ups check out some of there stuff it's hard to find someone that has it in stock but it's probably one of the best ur gonna find. There are some sellers on eBay that do have some tadia in stock if ur interested lmk and I'll post links to it but most of the suppliers like pfs and ncy store don't have much tadia stocked.also forged Pistons are far better than cast ones tadia offers kits in both forged and cast if ur going that route spend the extra for forged especially if u thinking of running nitrous system as the cast Pistons just won't hold up to juice. And if ur going this far I'd for sure throw a stroker crank in it adds cc's and more torque and the bearings and rid are much stronger than the stock crank u will be making serious power with any of those set ups and the stock crank just isn't made to handle it

I may be wrong but I think this bike has a fuel pump that runs on vacuum the videos I've seen that show one with a fuel pump looks like that
