That sucks! Prolly hurt bad for a week and then ache for a month. That chain looked pretty ragged.

it wasn't the big chain it was the one on the other side that came on the bike I am wanting to find a chopper bike to put this engine on think that would look pretty cool

Sounds like a great deal to me, but it depends a lot on what kinda shape all the stuff is in. If it's 2 toasted engines and a wrecked up scoot, maybe not. If the scoots in good condition, may be a good trade. The most important thing otherwise is what you want. I'd rather have the scoots, but maybe you like this more than the Peace Sport.

It's great to have parts sitting around. No waiting on shipping.

Agreed on having extra parts! I have a wrecked eton beamer sitting in the garage that I've pulled parts off of for my zuma. Like brake levers and turn signal switches. I also made a little money selling the carb out of it.
I'm not gonna lie though I've been thinking about buying one of these kits for a bike since I've seen this thread. I got a couple of old mountain bikes in the garage and the kits go for about 100 bucks on ebay. So maybe that would be something to think about?

I started out with one of those motors on my bicycle before I went to scooters. Great fun but had to wrench constantly. It vibrated worse than my '62 Triumph, Daytona 500! You should make the trade for the scooter unless you change the spokes to 10gauge plus you get brakes and lights on a scooter. The bike is fun but what it will cost you in maintenance and repairs will eventually cost more than a scooter. Just my 2 cents.

O.k I made the trade it is a 2009 peacesport scoot I didn't get the 2 engines with it. Well when I went to get the front wheel was off the cvt cover was off b/c of broke belt had a different brake caliper that wouldn't bolt up glad I had one that would fit i just replaced the whole thing so the handles would match. The clutch was off don't think it was the engine that come on it.
I put the roller weights back in not going to make the same mistake twice anyway got the clutch back on new belt kicked it and it sounded like the engine was barely turning the kick start was slowly coming back up just don't seem like the kickstart is turning the engine fast enough for it to start. they told me it has been setting for over a year b/c they have 2 other scoots.
I checked to see if it was getting fire and getting plenty of fire.
I still don't think it was a bad trade I didn't have anything into the kit and the parts on the Scoot is worth more that the kit.
I have 2 other engines 1 is a 2011 engine. I can use on this scoot to get it running but I am going to try to get this one going first b/c I have a wildfire I am going to try to get going maybe do a little modding to it.
I figured I would post this to let you guys know whats up.
Thanks again for everyone's help and being so kind to us newbies to scoots
Update: I checked the timing and valves was in time had to adjust the valves and she fired up first kick took her out for a 4am spin ran just great
