My front turn signals do not work. They do not light-up at all. However, my rear turn signal lights are working normally.
Given that he rear signals work, I would assume the problem is not the flasher relay (I don't think there is a separate flasher for the back signal lights) and since both front signal lights are not lighting, I am assuming further that a burned-out bulb is not the likely cause... in that they both would not likely be burned out at the same time.
However, my assumptions could very well be wrong. Can anyone enlighten me as to a likely cause of the front signals not working?
Addendum:
I went out and pulled the bulb out of one of the front signal lights and tested the leads with a continuity tester... it is NOT burned out so we can rule out burned-out bulbs.

Probably a bad connection. Get out your trouble light and trace it out.

I would likely follow the ground and power wires. Use your test light and see if you get power to the bulb sockets. They could both share the same ground connection, which would cause the given symptom if there was a bad or missing ground. You can supply a ground and quickly find out if that is the problem. Testing for voltage at the socket would also be indicative. A pointed probe that can be poked into the wire side of the bulb socket to contact the metal is very useful for testing. Ground the other end and it should flash if there is flasher power being pulsed to the socket. tom

I fooled around with the front turn signals this A.M. Left turn signal started working. Continued with Right turn signal light... pulled the bulb, stuck it back in and wiggled it around with the key on and the Right signal button on and I got that one to work also. My impression is that the wiring on these Chinese scooters is very sensitive, connections not all that good.

Not only that, but sometimes the number of strands inside the insulation can vary from spot to spot... The switches are NOT waterproof, and maybe not even water-resistant. AND, if the switches do get wet, they will rust internally... and not work so well after. Other than that, they are perfect. Sure. tom
