Hi all, New to the forum but I've stashed away a 2006 PGO Big Max 50R for years. The carb is basically toast. I *might* save it with carb cleaner and an ultrasonic sink but I don't have an ultrasonic sink. I'd rather just save time and effort and replace the carb if possible. The scooter did fire and run but the passages and jets are all crudded up. The carbs I'm seeing on Amazon and eBay are not correct. They are either missing the mounting flange or the dimensions of the flange are incorrect and won't bolt up to the scooter intake horn. I'm not looking to tune this thing I just want it to run. Can someone point me towards an affordable, bolt-on replacement carb? I found this adapter which seems to allow other carbs to be installed on the engine: Malossi 23mm Intake AdapterThey don't state what the bolt hole spacing is though. Heck, I'd even buy a set of jets and a carb rebuild kit for the original if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Ok, it looks like the carb for the Buddy 50 2T scooter is identical. Replacements can be had for anywhere from $200 for an OEM to $23 for a Chinese knock-off.

Hi buddy I have a pgo big max 50 from 96. I am using this speed-line.com/carburetor-zoot-175mm-phvaIt's a upgrade from standard but it fits perfectly on to the down pipe and standard airbox fits perfectly. You will need to do a small mod on the throttle cable. I cut 10mm off the cable casing this made the carb to fully open

The Buddy 50 2T carb fit perfectly so I have installed that but I will keep your carb in mind for the future.
