I have a 1 gallon tank (4.64L) on my 180cc and need something larger but can't find anything to preferably extend the current or to replace it all together... I have scratched my old head for a while now thinking of a simple solution to no avail.
Dear fellows, any suggestions on mods you've seen or have made your self's?

If you can just put a secondary tank under the seat with a fuel valve

Now I just use a 2.5 gallon spun aluminum tank, but I have no fairings to consider. Damn, I always thought that was for the beer! Model airplane suppliers have various sizes and configurations of fuel tanks available. I don't know how large they get but some of those planes are huge with multiple engines. Custom hot rod and racing shops also have fuel tanks or can make them.

If you can just put a secondary tank under the seat with a fuel valve I've already used half of that space for a... seat, a single comfortable one and the little space that is left I need as storage...

It was your bike that made me searching for an alternative years ago, I've been looking for a 6 inch and say 20 inches long one with side mounted filler but to find one here in Europe is impossible, at least for a fair price... Thought I could strap it under the frame above the rear wheel after removing the stock one. A plastic one would do, but no luck. I would happily mount it as you have but I need the space behind me for luggage, tent and so on since I am "scootering" the whole of Europe...

It wouldn't be the prettiest thing, but if you really want a bunch of extra fuel a tank like mine could be mounted in front of the scooter somewhere. The scooter version of a gasser.

What about something like an MSR fuel bottle? I've seen them in mounts on motorcycles before, you could also just chuck it in whatever storage compartment that you have. I have one mounted to one of my lawnmowers with a heavy duty bicycle water bottle cage to save the trip back to the garage when the lawn takes more than a tank full.
