I am thinking of buying a euro 5 scooter (the Zen SYM xpro 125 cargo one) and wonder if anyone here has tuned this injected gy6's? I'm planning a 180cc kit for it with an unrestricted exhaust. It is my belief that the ECU/injector won't be able to manage the larger displacement? Any comments appreciated except the old boring one "it is not possible"!

Anything is possible with enough money, but I can't see any tuning module for the GY6. You would need something like the Malossi force master. But they don't do one for the GY6. Rollin wrench has a prototype system. But it's not for sale yet.

Had a cheap chinese kit years ago that worked flawlessly, to expensive to buy today, triple the price... Especially when the bike already has the lot already installed... I was thinking, is it as simple that a higher flow injector would solve the problem or would the ECU scream "check engine"?

I don't think it works like a carb where you can put a bigger jet in. The amount of fuel is controlled by the ECU. It must only be a matter of time before someone comes up with a fix for this.

Correct, the amount of fuel is controlled by the ECU (pulses) but with a larger injector the ECU (or the rest of the sensors) shouldn't complain as long as the motor burns the mixture correctly. I mean, it's not like the ECU measures the mpg or so. My belief is that a larger injector would run rich and the exhaust sensor would tell the ECU to lower the pulse to the injector. But maybe it doesn't have to do that at all if the injector is proportional larger as the BBK.
