I have a 2000 Zuma with the vertical minarelli. I just purchased the Athena sport kit, stage 6 street pipe, dellorto 17.5 carb, and few other cvt items. Is there any need to upgrade the crank also? It will be a daily/ wheelie bike build. Looking for good low end torque, and low rpm build in general as I have 2 other builds that turn crazy rpm and are my more top speed bikes of choice...

The stock crank will hold up fine if in good shape. Measure big-end play to get a feeling for the current state of the big-end bearing. Those are an important factor in the longevity of the motor. Always use a new small-end bearing when taking off the cylinder. Go with a high quality one, those tiny 10-pin bearings are weak and you need the best one you can buy.

Great I will inspect it when I tear it down. And yes I have a new malossi small end bearing to use.
