There seems to be 10-15 big screen TV's (with broken screens) at my local repair shop at all times.

Hah hah! I did that to my $1400 Imac screen with a pair of reading glasses cause I got pissed off one day when my internet connection kept dropping out. Now I have a flat screen monitor sitting in front of the Imac with a video adapter cable cause they wanted $900 to replace the screen on the Imac.

Hmm, can't be any harder than replacing a screen on a nintendo DS. You could do that There's probably even a video showing you how out there. The internet is great that way.

Those iMac's use the same LCD as a Dell 20" monitor. Instead of searching for an iMac screen on ebay, search for a 20" Dell screen. It'll probably be about half the price of the iMac one, even though it's exactly the same.

The setup I have now has been working for me for over 4 years. I'm used to it and it's paid for.

I've been thinking the strap was to save the control wand all this time so I never used it cause I have a CRT TV. It would take a hard hit to break a picture tube I think cause I have the rubber protector on the wand but now that I've seen that video I'm going to use the strap.
