If I'm buying a kit with valves already installed...does it matter if I get 64 or 69?
If I get just the cylinder and piston kit...I can use my own stock head right?

If you do not get another head, you can use the original. I would suggest using a composition head gasket as 1) its thickness compared to steel will lower the CR just a bit, and 2) the composition gasket will conform just a bit better to the surface of the original cylinder head. Stamped sheet metal head gaskets depend more on the condition of the cylinder head and cylinder being in perfect pristine condition. A composition will conform just a bit better to any irregularities in the surface, and still has a 'fire ring' facing the combustion chamber. tom
