Name brand gy6?

Do the metropolitans and the name brands 4t 49cc scooters use a more solid gy6 type engine where you can buy those parts?

Or are they their own engine?

Honda engines 49cc Get engine are a different engine than a gy6. Get engine has a non replacement cylinder head so no real bbk available

You can find GY6 and 139QMB engines in scooters of better quality than the bottom of the barrel Chinese scoots. Kymco and Buddy are a couple of brands with better reputations and parts support that use those styles. Every part may not be interchangeable, but you can find some things that way if you wish.
