I am getting the old axis with the 70mph motor back on the road. I always used the kickstarter to fire it up because the starter motor couldn't get that 70cc motor (squish set at 0.6mm) go round quick enough. Now I want to be able to use the startermotor because it's just more convenient.
Three questions: 1: Does anybody know if the Grand Axis 100/Aerox 100 startermotor has more torque than it's 50cc counterpart? 2: Does the Grand Axis 100/Aerox 100 startermotor directly fit 50cc cases? 3: What are the easiest mods can I do to the OEM starter setup to bump up the startermotor's torque?

The aerox 100 uses starter part number 5FA-H1800-00 The 50cc for the same year used the part number 5BM-H1800-00 so might be different. The later aerox used a different part number again. 4CU-H1800-10 so was it improved? It looks very similar but pedparts says it doesn't fit. But it has the same number of splines. I wouldn't be surprised if it did fit.

Are the wires thick enough? Maybe too much voltage drop. LiFepo4 battery can help too. It has a higher voltage under load. Both together should do the trick.
