That looks like boost ports with a large oval instead of a butterfly exhaust port .
How soon before you pick one up?

Zino ahahaha! I don't know man. It's gonna be a minute. Far away from the casa, and at 300+ bones I'm gonna have to think about it. That and I still got kits that I need to build. I have their 80cc kit that I was planning to put into an Adly case when I get back. Although I'd be a liar if I said I wasn't curious about it. Looks neat. Apparently this is part of a whole line of racing parts that they put out including new pipe, air filter, reed block and carburetor.

I saw those a week or two ago on scootertuning.ca and wondered how long they have been out. I have not been paying much attention to scoots lately. Pretty smart how they got the studs out of the way so they could make those massive exhaust ports.

The youtube ad claims up to 19hp. Not bad for AC kit I think.

Yeah it definitely looks like a banger of a setup. oldgeek yeah I liked that too. It's a smart move for sure. chadbullet right? That's a pile of horses, puts it up there with the MXS cylinders. Honestly I don't know much about Athena. But they've been making a hell of a name for themselves I see. Heard a few folks say that the quality was good but some of it was suspect, but that was like 5 years ago. Like I said I got their 80 kit but the cylinder and the stroker crank and it looks really nice. I didn't see anything wrong with it quality wise. I am interested to see how all this does. I saw the 10 mm on scootertuning had already sold out. They still got 12s at the moment. Somebody's buying these bad boys.

What a shame. It says for race use only. You we would never use that on the street then. There are some very high performance kits on the market now. We have never had so much choice. I like the inner rotor ignition with two ignition maps built in. That might be interesting to try.

aeroxbud Use these on the street? Heavens no. Perish the thought. I just rev these up in the garage cause I like the fumes. Very cleansing. It wild, right? I was worried that there were going to be less and less 2T minarelli parts being made, but pleasantly surprised to be wrong about that. As you said there's all kinds of new stuff out there now.

Looks like nice kit! I always liked the products from Athena, very high quality. Cylinder bolts to the motor at the base. Head has a step so it aligns in the cylinder. Triple exh port like the Aprilia 125cc GP racers. Lubrication hole in the piston just below the ring. a better version of the Airsal T6R which did some of these things 10 yrs ago already.

And here I am after moving to the dark side with my Honda Bali Sj 100 and can't find anything tuning wise at all, not even a standard cylinder kit ☹️. Ah I did get a technigas silent pro exhaust off racing planet for it. I should have stuck with the Bali Sj 50 that came with it. But I still do have the engine that needs case welding after to much thumpy with a hammer. Lot's of stuff for them but will it be any faster than a 100cc? Keep seeing cheap Piaggio Zips and Yamaha 2 strokes down this way too. 🤔

This is quite interesting, the transfers on this cylinder are not symmetrical
Chamferred port edges If anyone has ran or is running this cylinder, please update findings. Particularly interested to know if it makes any power at 9000rpm... P400485100098 10mm P400485100099 12mm

I found this, where the guy has raised the exhaust port and done a few other things, and dyno's it www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGYiifWu8B4 - dyno youtu.be/9RTllCGImzU?t=809 - measuring clearences, compression etc Seems to be around 10hp at 9000rpm stock, so not too far beyond a sport kit at that level, but rising pretty quickly, and is around 17hp at 11k, in modified form. He mentions that the horizontal motor should have more, as this is the vertical version, but I don't know anything about that, other than the reeds are directly on the side of the engine on the vert model.
