Green Gathering Set Up

Set up our stuff nearly only decorations left.
Met up with Steff who does weird things with Rover's and Landrovers and his recovery truck.

More done today with the set up finished just got a backdrop to paint now but Robyn's on the case and Mushroom Paul's Kawasaki by us not seen one of these in years can't remember what model. It's a twln and water cooled.

It wasn't to bad FrankenMech got a paid booking out of it for August bank holiday once we worked out pricing and submitted it so not to bad. We all enjoyed doing it too.

Milly, have you seen Pinnochio running around over there anywhere ?

 maybe in a hundred years those  puppets will show up on Antiques Roadshow - known as Robyn and Millys'  - collectors  items - 20 grand  for the  girl and 50 grand for the uh , - is it a cow  or a horse Milly ?   oh , must be a horse , I see the mane .

  I just went  back to the other thread and saw the side view  of the pony. I think that color  with spots  is called a   "Paint" .         really , a fine  job.

Another year has gone round and just getting ready for the Green Gathering. No so much heavy stuff now bicycle workshops are out of the equation. Heaviest thing is a Colman Event shelter at 15ft x 15ft which weighs in at 48lbs. That's now in the topbox.

Lot less to, the trailer is going to look pretty empty when we load it Sunday.

Well a nice drive down and tent set up waistcoat hung up and Colman event shelter up after not being used for a few years. Tomorrow the girls arrive with cake and they can dress up the shelter for workshops and we will put up the last canvas structure. We were the first to arrive in the Green Crafts field today and the sun was out and boiling hot must have been the high 60's f till we stopped because couldn't see where we had put stuff. Met a few mates. Am now having a coffee and bed now all stiff and achy. Didn't help falling over in town couple of days ago and then busting my toe on my bed leg.

One thing I can never work out is why do people camp under dead trees. They do it every year.

Camping under a dead tree is a very silly thing to do. I know it gives you some shade. But it could also give you a dose of dead.

Today is 88f with a very slight breeze which just about helps from the River Severn, once in town shopping and getting dinner no breeze a nightmare but now the girls are here they are getting on with things while me and Dean supervises.
Did see a nice Cadillac Coupe De Ville in Tesco's carpark and also a motorbike shop open tomorrow selling non shiny things, thinks me pop in there tomorrow

Edit we can't just supervise as they are going to tell my daughter Katie when she arrives Wednesday.

There used to be an old 60's bike shop in Farnham. Might still be there called the rocker box. Could spend hours looking at all the parts and memorabilia accumulated over decades.
Not many of those places left now.

Yes I remember that in Wrecclesham run by Daryl and Arthur. Arthur took it over and I think it's still running. I swapped my panther with Daryl for 16 BSA Bantams in bits and got quite a few running. Only thing I have left from those is a BSA spanner. Must have been the mid 80's and I remember Daryl had his shop/ storage in the old Heath Brothers garage on the Aldershot end of town. Probably a boutique today.
